The CTS comprise a series of questionnaires designed to assess temperament in infancy and childhood. Each measures the nine NYLS temperament characteristics: Activity Level, Regularity, Approach-withdrawal, Adaptability, Intensity, Mood, Persistence, Distractibility, and Sensory Threshold. The five questionniares in the series are: EITQ: The Early Infancy Temperament Questionnaire-1 to 4 months of age, RITQ: The Revised Infant Temperament Questionnaire-4 to 11 months of age, TTS: The Toddler Temperament Scale-1 to 3 years, BSQ: The Behavioral Style Questionnaire-3 to 7 years,MCTQ:The Middle Childhood Temperament Questionnaire-8 to 12 years Available for use in research or clinical practice, the five questionnaires in the series utilize between 75-100 descriptions of behavior to assess the nine NYLS temperament characteristics. .

For hand scoring, print questionnaires come with a scoring sheet and profile sheet for use in interpreting questionnaires results. Questionnaires take about 15 minutes to process and yield raw scores.
